Upgrades to Cerbos
An improved "Getting Started" documentation
Getting started with Cerbos has never been easier - now with more language specific examples in the documentation, you can be up and running in minutes.
We also moved the tutorial natively into the documentation. The tutorial provides a more guided experience of how Cerbos works and a walk-through of setting it up in an example application.
NestJS Integration
Integrating powerful authorization into your NestJS application is now easier. Our new tutorial for integrating Cerbos with NestJS outlines how to set up your environment, defining policies, and adding guards which protect your services with fine-grained permissions.
New Ecosystem Gallery
The ecosystem section of our website has been enhanced with an expanded index of the different services, frameworks, and languages you can integrate Cerbos with.
Getting started with implementing powerful authorization is now much easier with new tutorials available on integrating Cerbos with FastAPI, NestJS, Gorillas and AWS Cognito. More to follow soon.

Cerbos' secret ingredients: protobufs and gRPC
When designing Cerbos, we made an early decision to have structured, type-safe and serializable data. We knew we wanted to be able to expose a predictable interface to the application with predictable data types that could be used by other services in a myriad of languages.
We chose Protocol Buffers (protobuf), along with gRPC, to define all the core features — including the policies, API, data storage, data interchange and even the test cases.

In this article, you’ll learn more about the opportunities that are created when authentication is handled for you and how to take advantage of them.

Security Boulevard have published six takeaways to consider when looking at your identity landscape.
Our product adoption is growing very fast. We are looking for a developer relations manager to lead Cerbos’ developer evangelism and advocacy. We’d love this person to engage with developers to discover and remedy pain points, produce accessible technical content and help build an inclusive community of Cerbos users.
If you know amazing DevRel professionals who we should be talking to, please ask them to consider Cerbos.
