Cerbos version 0.9 is out!
On October 29th we released Cerbos v0.9 - our biggest release yet. Cerbos is now faster, more secure, and integrated with the wider ecosystem.
We’ve migrated to a new custom built decision engine that is up to 17 times faster than the previous version, added support for hierarchical functions in policy conditions, added native JWT (JSON Web Tokens) validation support, as well as the ability to store and read policies from Cloud Storage: S3, GCS or any S3-compatible API. We also published GitHub actions for setting up and compiling Cerbos policies which make testing policies in CI much easier.
You can find out more details on all of this in our blog.
New Cerbos Playground start page
We are always looking for ways to make getting started with Cerbos easier and the playground is a big part of that. There is new a Launch Page which highlights all the resources available including how to get started, documentation links, examples and, if you are logged in, access to your existing projects.
Industry news
We want to recognize Auth0, the de facto, modern authentication SaaS, for a video they created explaining the differences between Authorization and Authentication- two things which are commonly confused. Cerbos can be easily integrated with Auth0 to provide the authorization on top of its authentication platform. You can find more about it at this link.
